About the Author
Rick Laubscher is a fourth-generation San Franciscan who fell in love with streetcars as a child, when his mother took him downtown on an “iron monster” through the Twin Peaks to see the circus. He worked as a broadcast reporter in San Francisco, then as a corporate executive, where he began his advocacy for vintage streetcar service. He now operates his own strategic communications consultancy, Messagesmith, and serves as president of the nonprofit Market Street Railway.

This is a fun little book, some text about San Francisco and the sites, lots of information about the street cars and the cable cars. Most anybody who liked a visit to San Francisco would like this one.
I operated most of those vehicles both in testing and in service. Started on Muni equipment in 1968 and the vehiclesin the book are the best equipment the Muni had. The new Breda and Boeing cars were a disaster.
This is a wonderful book describing the trolleys in San Francisco. If you are an enthusiast, you will want it in your library.
