It's no doubt an interesting story. I read the first few pages and thought "oh, that's nice," to myself. But that's not the kind of language-learning help I was seeking.I can read and write Spanish fluently, and speak and understand it as well. I wanted to take this to my Spanish-native friends who are learning English--with little access to it because of where they live in another country. This does not have any of the "nuts and bolts" kind of information I was hoping to have. I'll go to the local bookstore and search out a practical book of phrases.
I got this book for my husband who is Spanish and who had some difficulties in studying English when we decided to move in USA. I must admit that I am more than satisfied with this book because it offers great exercises and grammar is very well explained. His English has definitely improved and now he can easily communicate with friends and family and he is more than happy about this. We both strongly recommend this book to everybody who is struggling with English grammar or speaking!
While this book is meant for native spanish speakers who want to become more fluent english speakers, I was actually able to use it as a tool to learn more about spanish and how to perfect my pronunciations and grammar.
